Supercapacitor energy storage boasts high power density
long cycle life
and rapid response characteristics
with significant economic differences across various application scenarios. To identify the optimal application scenarios for supercapacitor energy storage
this study establishes a life-cycle cost and multi-benefit assessment system. It conducts economic evaluations for three typical scenarios: grid frequency regulation
energy recovery in rail transit
and industrial peak shaving and valley filling. By comparing the investment costs
benefit levels
and payback periods across these scenarios
the study analyzes the scenario suitability of supercapacitor energy storage. The findings provide a reference for the scenario-specific promotion and commercial application of supercapacitor energy storage.
