Carbonization process of artifcial graphite coated with asphalt

Abstract: In order to improve the carbonization yield and electrochemical properties of artificial graphite, the artificial graphite is coated with modified asphalt and carbonized after preoxidation treatment. The carbonized samples were characterized by laser particle size distributor, densitometer and specific surface and aperture tester, and the electrochemical performance was further studied. The results show that the preoxidation treatment in the carbonization process can effectively improve the agglomeration phenomenon and greatly improve the electrochemical properties of the cathode materials.
